MARCH 2006

I didn't think running two versions of The Drama would be as challenging as it's become, but by the time I get to the website edition I am all Drama'd out! If you aren't on the e mail edition yet we highly encourage you to subscribe! There's a link somewhere on this page for it or e mail the Crazy Pinoys anytime. Hiphop206@aol.com.

And speaking of AOL, have you noticed how realtime news seems to be dominated by CNN, Forbes, All Hiphop, EUr, MySpace, etc? By the time these stories get on default pages it's old, old news. Setting breaking news to e mail or text is about two days ahead of the rest. Cable isn't even keeping up, cancel those usury charges!

Here's a fantastic business opportunity if you are a has-been, jealous relative, groupie, skank, dealer, gigalo, "former" dancer or ex model with a champagne habit..............film everything and put it out for sale on DVD! Thanks to the Jerry Springer Generation we now have wonderful ways to spend $18.00 to witness truly dirty behavior. It's very lucky for Busta Rhymes these people do not hang around him..............or did they?

X Clan's To The East Blackwards was a brand new kind of hiphop in the early 90's. It stood against the test of time and can run up on anything you want to show us today. It saddens us that another talent has left the music galaxy and hopefully moved on to another, greater purpose. R.I.P. Professor X.

So what really happened with Seattle's Hill B? First we are hearing about that record, then he's gone..........anyone?

A few playas have asked if things are official with Sonny Bonoho and the Crazy Pinoys. Well, as much as we'd like that Sonny has his plan and we sort of just revolve around it. no matter what happens, Northwest hiphop history will always know who did what for whom, why and how. It's not a cashed check but it is love. Besides, we are already paid! Plus, we really enjoy it when our pinky finger can make more happen than most of these bodies running around Seattle trying to kick up drama for artists!

If attending Miami's WMC from the 24th, be sure to look out for my boy Josh @ Ice (Las Vegas). He'll have the wrapped tour bus and Snoop's angels all over him...

BUZZ FOR MARCH: Hiphop pirate station showdown in Florida, Microsoft portable game unit coming, Godfather The Game, www.Movida.at, Elan Hotel (L.A.), www.DontDateHimGirl.com, MySpace London, Hotel 1000 (Seattle), Miami Vice film wrap, Reno as future HOT locale?

WANKSTERS FOR MARCH: The hiphoperatti and bloggers who just can't seem to understand that Hustle And Flow was an accident. Do you really think anyone was thinking Oscar while they were doing it? They were too busy creating urban product! Why not celebrate the fact that even the Academy Of Arts And Sciences are rap fans now? Isn't it something to celebrate when Luda himself can walk the carpet as a Crash emissary? What is wrong with you people!!?! But no, what we read and hear is that somehow these awards are bad for hiphop and its portrayal of, what................THE INDUSTRY? Check yourselves first, this is everything we dreamed about as kids trying to get away from Donny And Marie!

SHOUTS: Deborah Pratt @ Vision Quest, Rafael @ www.BigMassMedia.com, Asher @ The Booth, Jimmy @ A.D.D. Marketing, Alvin @ Rap A Lot Records, The Staff @ Hungry Bear in Brinnon, Wa!
