One of the benefits of being late on delivery of this column is that I can talk about last weekend. Anger Management 3 produced all the big buses (sans DJ Alchemist, whose rig flipped over in Missouri), and we were honored to host one of them, holding no less than Shady Records and Shady 45's Alvon Miller, Seth Abrams and their Shady marketing soldiers. Fantastic night beginning with copius amounts of libations and steak, followed by silky VIP status courtesy of Aaron Byers and Marlin of Prolific Events @ Rock Salt. I had no idea how nice they treat the tastemakers and celebs. The bottles were impressive! Much appreciated. It was because of above mentioned activity that I missed the panel at Musica Festival this weekend. However, based on what my publicist says, we may have dodged a controversy I hear is brewing among critics, having to do with the Mayor's award for Seattle hiphop and how things work in the Northwest. All I can say is, do what you do and the rest will work itself out. 'Nuff sed... EA Sports is doing it so ridiculous that you may want to consider stockpiling a little more stock investment.
