FEBRUARY 2006
The way we see it, final score @ Super Bowl was REFS 21 SEAHAWKS 10. But instead of crying in our lattes about it...... all you'll hear from Seattle is how we'll be seeing you in Miami.
R.I.P. J Dilla from Slum Village. That chalks up at least two points now for Lupus disease. I was in L.A. to say goodbye to a dear friend of mine just last week, Marcela Sanchez-Morden, who had been managing this killer ailment for the last 15 years. If DIlla's schedule was everything we have been reading and hearing about, he was a walking grenade. The program has to include rest and more rest, and it will cut off your plans at a moment's notice. Heeding warnings gives its victims a chance, ignoring it is murder.
While on the westside for that funeral, I got a chance to say hello to a few folks. Charlie @ The Booth promotions, Monica @ Buzzin' Bee PR, DJ Rocky Rock (Appl's DJ From Black Eyed Peas), Mr. Cinatra, Deborah Pratt (NBC / Quantum Leap creator), Gregory Brown (producer, Sugar Hill, Hurricane), my dood Rob Williams (www.BigMassMedia.com) and Jon Moore from Fireworks Prod. Under the circumstances it was nice to see everyone.
Are you ready for Black (www.EAGames.com) ? Why not!? February 28th is street date.
We are happy to be part of the Susan G. Komen Foundation Breast Cancer Walk A Thon campaign (www.The3day.org). A three day event in about eight key markets. Hit us up if you'd like a brichure for this three day event.
BUZZ FOR February: Kenneth Starr as fiction writer, Busta Rhymes hiding out? Club Social (L.A.), www.Zillow.com, www.first10minutes.com, www.Kedar.com, AOL pay per e mail program, Papoose.
SHOUTS: See above!
WANKSTER FOR February: Everyone frrom national sports radio and writers mispronouncing and misspelling Seahawk players names, to pundits who not only ignored the stats all year but kept things comfortable by looking yet not seeing what this team was really doing last season.
